This peal was rung by the request of Lord Shaftesbury (President of the Guild) on the occasion of the visit of Her Majesty the Queen to St Giles on this date. Her Majesty signed the visitor's book in the church whilst the peal was in progress, and outside listened to the ringing for 15 minutes
