Rung on the 60th anniversary of the first gig by local band The Moody Blues in the Carlton Ballroom across the road from the church. It's with some sadness that keyboardist Mike Pinder, the last surviving member of the original line up, passed away just last week aged 82.
The Carlton later went on to become 'Mothers', one of the country's leading rock venues and hosting acts such as The Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.
