The treble ringer lived at Gt Bowden in the 1940s and did much of his early ringing here when they were a 5 bell tower. This peal was specially arranged to enable him to ring the treble bell which is dedicated to John Thomas March (1865-1954) who first introduced him to ringing. Also to mark (belatedly) the 60th anniversay of his first peal, rung at Weston by Welland, Leics, on 16 Jun 1951.
