Rung open in celebration and thanksgiving for the life of Cherington Tower Captain Paul Marriott before his funeral. Paul donated the treble bell in 2006 and was passionate about teaching new ringers.

Four of his pupils now comprise the local band, and did Paul proud in ringing some well-struck call changes after the QP, conducted by Michael. They are: Christine Thompson, Helen Beaumont, Trish Holmes and Sarah Scotter.

Paul's legacy lives on in their ringing, in his bells, and in his many other diverse achievements.
