This quarter on the nearest Saturday to Easter was rung to commemorate the first ringing of the bells at Easter 1893. The bells were given by Mary Dawson in memory of her brother. A dinner was held following the quarter in the Queens Head Hotel where a toast was made to Mary Dawson. It is hoped the dinner will become an annual event and plans are afoot to celebrate the centenary of the bells in 1993.
