Rung prior to a special Service to remember Air Mechanic William Smith McLean who died of pneumonia and influenza on 10th May 1919 having served his Country during WW1. He had been demobilised on 5th April 1919 and was buried in an unmarked grave in the Churchyard. For his centenary of death a memorial stone was erected by community subscription and dedicated at the Service.
