Son of Emma Vogwill (née Aggett, originally from Chagford, Devon) of Hoghton, Preston, Lancs, and the late John Vogwill (died February 1917). Emma Vogwill died in February 1918. Husband of Georgianna Vogwill (née Dye) of Newton St Faith's, Norwich, whom he married on 27/09/1906 at Holy Trinity, Hoghton. At the time of the 1911 census he was working as a domestic gardener.
