Rung by a Fylde band, including 3 local ringers (3, 4 & 6), to commemorate the 170 year life of these bells in the community of Kirkham and also (1) the opening of the Church memorial house on October 19th 1919 in memory of the 41 men of this parish who made the supreme sacrifice, (2) the unveiling of the memorial tablet on 21st October 1920 to those who had fallen during WW1. This tablet is ever a reminder to us of the great part that many of our men played in the never to be forgotten Great War, and (3) the placing of the colours of the 7th Battalion of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment in the Church on November 14th 1920 into the care of the Vicar and PCC.
Final QP on the bells ahead of their planned removal and replacement.

Rung to mark the 50th anniversary of the first peal of Norman Smith's groundbreaking composition, rung at this tower 50 years ago to the day. The ringers of 4, 5 and 6 were in the original peal.
