Great credit is due to the ringers of the treble, 2nd, 4th, 6th, and tenor for the progress they have made in the method, they having rung their first touch o f Stedman Triples in August last.
Rung as a compliment to J. Rogers, he having attained his 53rd birthday.
All the above are of the local company, except R. Ridyard, who hails from Worsley.
The above was rung at the third attempt.

Rung with the bells muffed as a last token of respect to the late John Shaw, Esq., of Eccles, who had been superintendent of the church Sunday School for many years, and who also took a deep interest in the church.

The above was rung with the bells muffled as a token of deep sympathy for the Rev. Canon Heywood, who had been vicar ot the above church for 31 years. Mr Percival Heywood, who is the President of the Midland Counties' Association was present at the funeral, which took place in the above church-yard the same day.

The above peal was rung as a last tribute of respect to the late Canon Heywood, vicar of St. Peter’s church, Swinton, who had been a life member of the L.A.C.R. for many years and bad preached the sermons at the annual meetings on more than one occasion.
Mr. Barratt represented Eccles parish church, the rest belong to the
Worsley company.

This is the first peal by all except John Makin, and is the first peal on the bells since they were rehung by Messrs. Taylor and Co., of Loughborough, June, 1894, and is the first peal by the above branch.
All the above ringers are members of St. George’s church. It is about twenty-five years since a peal was rung on the bells.
The “go" of the bells was all that could be desired.
