Rung open to celebrate the life of Iolo D. Davies, school teacher and the last head-master of Cowbridge Grammar School, prior to the memorial service at Holy Cross Church Cowbridge. A former Master of the Llandaff and Monmouth, and former secretary of the Llandaff branch, he died on 5 April 2009. He was instrumental in founding the CGS ringing society, and in 1963 he and the ringers of 3 and 4 rang in the first peal on Llanblethian bells.
