Marking the 250th anniversary of the "Old Bridge" in Pontypridd, built across the River Taff by William Edwards. The bridge was the fourth attempted by Edwards, and at the time of construction was the longest stone-built single-arch bridge in Europe.
Also to mark the 150th anniversary this year of the writing of "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau", the National Anthem of Wales. The words were written by Evan James and the tune composed by his son James James, both residents of Pontypridd.
