Rung half muffled in memory of Daniel Conlin, who died aged 26 years in a tragic motor bike accident on 7th May and whose funeral was today at the Roman Catholic Church in Bulwark (Chepstow) followed by burial at Penhow. Daniel managed the bakery in Magor and was well known in the local community. Amongst the ringers of Magor and Redwick (and indeed ringers throughout the Monmouth Diocese) he was renowned for his wonderful 'Mega Party Pizzas' which were 30" diameter and which he produced three at a time for the many bell ringers' socials (including quizzes and ringing courses) at Magor Church Hall. Always cheerful, he will be sadly missed. Ironically, the day after his death, his wife gave birth to their baby.

Rung by some of the many friends of Rev. Neil Sheard, who sadly passed away in September 2001. Neil was amongst one of the finest bellringers in South Wales and the vacuum that his loss will, I am sure remain amongst his many friends and colleagues countrywide. It was for all of us a privilege and honour to have known a genuine caring individual who commanded quiet respect from so many quarters. We would like to associate the peal with Simon Farrar, Robin Churchill, David Llewellyn & Stephen Penny who were unable to participate.
