Rung half-muffled as a last tribute of respect to Mr. A. H. Watkins, solicitor and prominent townsman, and a former warden of this church, who was interred immediately prior to the peal; also to the Rev. Arthur G. Thomas, Rector of Penhow, a great friend to the ringers of this association, who died during the week. The ringers of the treble and 7th have now completed the circle in this tower.

Rung as a farewell peal to Canon Edward Morgan, M.A., for ten years Vicar of Usk, who retired on January 7th. It was largely through his efforts that the bells in this tower were recast and augmented to eight. The ringer of the seventh has now rung each bell in this tower to a peal. Rung in honour of the wedding of Miss Minnie Albina Dibble and Mr. William C. L. Perry, only son of the conductor and a former ringer at this church, who were married at Bridgwater on March 2nd.

First peal of Caters: 3. First peal of Caters away from the treble. Arranged specially as a farewell compliment to Dr E E Brierly, for many years churchwarden at this church, who is now leaving Cardiff and going into retirement in the Isle of Man.

100th peal together - 2, 6. 50th peal - 4. First peal on the bells since they were rehung on ball bearings by Messrs Taylor and Co.

First peal 'inside'; 3. Specially arranged and rung to celebrate the marriage of Mr. Christopher P. Gudgeon to Miss Doris Cooper, which took place the same afternoon at St. Mark's Church, Worsley, Manchester. Mr. Gudgeon is a frequent visitor to South Wales.

Rung in honour of the wedding of Mr. George Cartwright and Miss Verley E. James, daughter of Mr. D. R. James, who were married in this church on September 8th. Also a birthday peal for the ringer of the 6th, father of the bride.

Rung in honour of the wedding of Mr. Albert D. Elliott and Miss Olga G. M. James, daughter of D. R. James, ringer of the seventh, who were married in the above church the previous day.

First peal on the bells, cast in 1722. They were recently rehung by John Taylor and Co. The peal was especially rung as a birthday peal for Mr. J. W. Jones (hon. secretary of the above association) for his 70th birthday.
