This peal was arranged and rung as a farewell to Mr. W. Williams, an old ringer, and verger for the last 19 years at this church. Mr. Williams came to the belfry at the end of the peal and thanked the band for ringing the peal, the company wishing him and Mrs. Williams many happy years in their retirement. The thanks of the band are given to Mr. G. I. Lewis, who kindly came from Cadoxton at a few hours’ notice to take the place of one who was ill.
