First peal: 1, 8. Arranged and rung as a birthday compliment to both J. W. Jones and W. B. Biss, this being the eve of the 50th birthday of each of them, the ringers wishing them many happy returns. It was also the anniversary of the dedication and reopening of the church and bells after complete restoration. The ringer of the treble, who was elected a member before starting, belongs to the Welch Regiment, and is now recuperating at Cardiff after receiving wounds at the front. He hails from Cadoxton, Neath.
