In memoriam — Marian Wood

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs Marian Wood, a respected member of our ringing community. Marian, aged 85, passed away on Saturday 13th April 2024, at St Clare Hospice after a brief illness.

She served as EACR Northern-District Secretary and Treasurer in the early 1960s. Then she became Deputy Master of the Northern District from 2002-2005 and subsequently District Ringing Master from 2006-2019. Marian’s dedication, leadership, and passion for Bell Ringing significantly helped to shape the association. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and friends.

We will share with you the details regarding the funeral arrangements as we hear more details from her family.
