In memoriam — David Knewstub
David was taught to ring by Dennis Ellisdon at Ilford, Essex in 1965. David moved to Australia in 1972, becoming a well respected member of the Cathedral band in Perth and President of ANZAB. He served as Tower Captain at both St George’s Cathedral and the Bell Tower in Perth, rang in the first peal of P B Major on the recast St. George’s bells, and rang over 1000 quarter peals in Western Australia.
