Royal Naval Guild of Bellringers — RNGB Quarter Peal Day

Saturday, 4th February 2017

On Saturday 4th February members of the Royal Naval Guild of Bellringers travelled from Somerset, Warwickshire, Berkshire, Cambridgeshire and Kent to ring four quarter peals in the Bedfordshire/ Hertfordshire border area. The day was especially arranged to mark the 65th Anniversary of the Accession of Queen Elizabeth II ( 6.2.17.). Ringing Master Anna Gawley (Hitchin) proved an able organiser. Even the weather turned favourably sunny after the frost, ice and rain experienced by ringers at the start of their journeys. The pub lunch was an enjoyable social occasion. All were pleased with the four successful quarter peals and the good standard of ringing produced throughout the day. Diana R Wraight
