150th anniversary of Mothers' Union

1st January – 31st December 2026

2026 marks the 150th anniversary of the Mothers’ Union, celebrating a century and a half of faith-inspired service to families and communities around the world. Founded in 1876, the organisation has grown from a small Anglican movement into a global network working to strengthen relationships, support the vulnerable, and promote human dignity. Open to both women and men, Mothers’ Union brings people together to support one another through practical care, prayer, and advocacy, responding to the needs of families in all their diversity.

This milestone year offers an opportunity to honour its history, and perhaps for ringers and local MU branches to build relationships.
