St James Poolstock: Open Ringing

An open ringing afternoon at St James with St Thomas, Poolstock, Wigan. These bells have been recently brought back to life after being more or less silent (with the exception of a few quarter peals and the occasional wedding) for many years.

The bells were cast in 1896 by Mears & Stainbank and the tenor weighs 25cwt.

Ringers of all abilities will be welcome and an effort will be made to ensure everyone gets a good ring.
