Lincoln Diocesan Guild — 50th Anniversary Guild Six Bell Striking Competition Finals

Competitions start at 5pm

It is 50 years since the first Guild Six Bell Striking Competition was held with the inaugural John Freeman Cup Contest, which has first held in September 1969 at All Saints Branston.

JOHN FREEMAN CUP (for Method ringing bands) - being held at All Saints BRANSTON (a ground floor ring of six with a 10cwt tenor)

TED COLLEY PLATE (for Call Change bands) - being held at All Saints NOCTON (an upstairs ring of six with a 8 ½ cwt tenor)

ROLLING RINGERS TEA - at BRANSTON CHURCH HALL (which is less than 200 yards from the Church). This will be the base for the day for ringers to congregate at and where the results will be announced following the competition.

OPEN RINGING (for all from 5pm) - being held at St Andrew’s POTTERHANWORTH (a ground floor ring of six with a 7 cwt tenor), Potterhanworth stands midway between Branston & Nocton (less than a five minute drive from Branston).

NAMES OF BANDS - to HELEN BROTHERTON (Guild Hon Secretary), no later than 6pm Saturday 7th September (N.B. this deadline has been EXTENDED to 5pm WEDNESDAY 11th SEPTEMBER)
