Keith Beale's Big 70th Birthday Bash.

Monday, 25th February 2019

Keith Beale has reached the start of his eighth decade! Many ringers, myself included, have great reason to be grateful for his help and encouragement in furthering their ringing careers. His own ringing started at the age of nine at Holy Trinity, Taunton, under he tutilage of his then Headmaster Dennis Whatmore. Sadly, Dennis passed away a week ago at the age of 95, still an active ringer and golfer. A family move took him to Wembdon where he improved his skills before returning to ring at Holy Trinity. He rang his first peal at Creech St Michael before ringing his first quarter! He lived in Sampford Brett for several years from 1970 before moving to Halse. For his birthday celebrations, Keith characteristically chose those towers that have been important to him, arranging eight quarters for the day, seven of which survive! So, Happy Birthday Keith, and many thanks for your support, encouragement, and friendship. GRM.
