Sunday Ringing, rung on the front three bells ‘The Keltek Trust Three’ with the bells half muffled in memory of the Rt Revd Robert Maynard ‘Bob’ Hardy C.B.E. 70th Bishop of Lincoln (1987 – 2002) and past Patron of the Lincoln Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers, who passed away last month (9th April).
“Bishop Bob, as he was affectionately known across Greater Lincolnshire, was much loved and greatly admired for his dedication to the diocese and the people of Lincoln. He was particularly known for his commitment to rural issues and was a President of the Lincolnshire Show. He also served as Bishop for HM Prisons (1985 – 2001).”
May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
The ringing took place using family members who live in the same household with all the ringers wearing face coverings. Rung from our ground floor ringing chamber with the tower door to the outside fully open.
(No. 490) (Rung also for the Lincoln Diocesan Guild)
