Rung in thanksgiving for the life and work of Percival Samson Venn (1914-94) tower captain and restore of this tower and peal of bells, whose funeral service was held this day in this church. The conductor rang the bell which his father donated, the inscription on which reads: "For Love, Peace and Prosperity"
