In affectionate memory of Michael J Platt, the composer. Michael lived in Saddleworth, was taught to ring on these bells and was a member of the Sunday Service band for many years. All members of the band had rung at least one peal with Michael, the conductor having been in Michael's first peal on 12/3/1966.
