Rung to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of The Priesting of Canon Rev. John Ardley, Rural Dean of West Lewisham, at Southwark Cathedral, Michaelmas 1973.
John is a member of the local band - he learnt to ring at St John's, Caterham in 1975 when the bells were transferred from the redundant church of St. Mary-at-Lambeth. John is a member of the local band and general ringing took place with other members after the quarter. This included "firing" on the bells - especially for The Canon!
