Half-muffled following the funeral of Peter John Frederick Shepherd, father of Jayne Blackadder and formerly resident in the village, passed to his rest 9th April 2016 aged 76 years
Also remembering Mrs Doris Jemison, landlady of the Red Lion, Snargate; also recently deceased.
The conductor of this QP rehung the fourth of this ring on its current ball-bearings 50 years ago this year; the first of the six to be rehung from plain to ball; the others following in subsequent years.
