The Ringing World consistently fails to publish quarter peals within a reasonable period (taking over 6 months in some cases) if they are submitted in blocks, e.g. with a write-up following a quarter peal day or week, even when such reports include significant footnotes such as “first quarter peal”. Additionally, the front-page article of the issue of 27th March effectively states that a fee of 60p per ringer will be levied for the publication of any quarter peals from June 2015. As I object to any charge for publication of reports that are often no longer of current interest by the time they appear, this will be the last submission with which I attach a donation.
