Rung by the local band prior to the morning service to congratulate our friend Joan Simpson, aged 85 (a ringer at Coningsby), on being awarded a B.E.M. (British Empire Medal) in the 2018 New Year’s Honours List for services to the community of Coningsby (which includes her bell ringing & fundraising). Well Done Joan, Well Deserved!

168th quarter peal this year: 2. Well Done Yvonne. Yvonne is very pleased to have beaten her son by ringing one more quarter than him this year, making her the leading quarter peal ringer in the Guild!
