Rung in memory of Corporal Frank Septimus Andrew. Died 30 November 1917 age 27. Royal Fusiliers 9th Bn. Service No.11463.
Commemorated at Cambrai Memorial, Louverval, France, Panel 3 and 4.
Born 1890 and baptised 25/05/1890 at Isham. One of twelve children; ten surviving at the 1911 census. Son of James Andrew and Georgina Annie Andrew of Isham, Northants. In 1911 he was working as a grocer’s assistant.
He rang his first peal, Plain Bob Minor, at Isham on 26/12/1907; this was the first peal by all the band except the conductor, Edward Chapman from Kettering. His first peal as Conductor was rung at Isham on 24/07/1910.
Moved to Coventry area in 1913 where he rang at the recently augmented 8 at Stoke and became proficient in the standard repertoire of the time, including London and Bristol Surprise. He enlisted in Coventry. His name is commemorated on the finely carved parish memorial at Isham.
