1260 Plain Bob Doubles
1 Anne Hardwick
2 Janet Crafer
3 Tess Rowland
4 Bob Hardwick
5 Christopher C P Woodcock (C)
6 Yvonne A Woodcock
Rung by the Coningsby ringers & friends for the Eastern Branch quarter peal week (all the ringers are regular members of the Tattershall practice night band).
Rung remembering Hoyland ‘Bert’ Barrack MBE, aka ‘The Governor’ who passed away a year ago and Alan Brader who passed away 6 years ago.
Bert was a central figure head within the community being a former Chairman of the Parish Council, which he sat on for 34 years, opening and running the Village Post Office and serving on most of the village organisations and committees over the years.
Alan was the former Tower Captain here and at Coningsby. He learnt to ring on these bells and was also responsible for raising the funds and leading the restoration of these bells in 1999.
Rung by the Practice Night band. Last year we tried to ring a quarter of Plain Bob Doubles for the Quarter Peal Week but soon packed up and rang a quarter of Minimus with two covers instead due to the bells being too difficult for the band, so this quarter was a real achievement for the band on these extremely challenging bells with over 70 foot of rope to contend with. Well Done everyone, a big team effort!
