Rung half-muffled to Commemorate the Centenary of the 3rd Battle of Ypres which commenced on 31st July 1917 and the following 100th Anniversaries of local members of the 41st Battalion who died in the cause of freedom fighting on the Western Front.
Private Vincent WALSH of Grafton who died of wounds in France on 1st July 1917, aged 30 and is buried at Trois Arbres Cemetery, Steenwerck, Nord Pas de Calais, France.
Private James ADAMS of Terranora who was killed in action in Belgium on 3rd July 1917, aged 22 and is buried at Bethleem Farm East Cemetery, Flanders, Belgium.
Private George PLATT of Casino who was killed in action in Belgium on 8th July 1917 and is buried at Messines Ridge British Cemetery, Messines, Flanders, Belgium.
Private William PLATT of Casino who was killed in action in Belgium on 8th July 1917 and is buried at Messines Ridge British Cemetery, Messines, Flanders, Belgium.
Privates George Platt and William Platt were brothers and are buried in adjacent graves.

This is the fourth quarter peal to commemorate local members of the 41st Battalion who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country in the period 1916-1919.
