Rung prior to Evensong in memory of Gunner John James Clitheroe, age 20, a ringer at St. John's, Blackpool, who was killed in action on 4/8/1917 whilst serving his country during WW1.

The band included two former St. John's, Blackpool ringers (5 & 6), and was 6's first QP for over 20 years.
