Rung in memory of Lance Corporal George Brock, a former bell ringer at this Church (and member Norwich Diocesan Assn.), a member of the Machine Gun Corps (Infantry) 9th Coy., Service No.53143, who was killed in action during the first day of the Battle of Arras on 9th April 1917, aged 29. Commemorated at Beaurains Road Cemetery, Beaurains, France, Grave B 17.
Also in remembrance of Lance Sergeant Frederick Richard Wilkshire R/3718 11th Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps, Died of wounds 4th April 1917. Re-buried at Bancourt British Cemetery, Bancourt, France, Grave II G.1, after removal from Rocquigny. Paternal great, great Uncle of 3.
