Rung to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, in which over 3500 Canadian soldiers died and more than 7000 were wounded. As well, in memory of Pvt. Harry Cheesman, of Merstham, Surrey and Lethbridge, AB, great uncle of Jeremy, Nick and Mark Cheesman and Rosemary Duke. Pvt. Cheesman died at Vimy on April 9, 1917
