Rung by a mainly local band prior to the morning service on Palm Sunday to mark the 150th anniversary of the death of Lady Sarah Albinia Louisa, Countess of Ripon, Benefactor of this Church and peal of six bells, who died on 9th April 1867.
The Countess of Ripon had All Saints Church built as a memorial to her husband the first Earl of Ripon. She also gave this peal of six bells in 1865 in memory of him.
Rung with the bells fully muffled for Lent, with both tenor muffles removed so the tenor tolled open at the back of each change.
This date touch of 1867 changes was specially chosen to mark the year in which the Countess died.
(Rung also for the Lincoln Diocesan Guild)
