Rung with the bells half muffled in memory of the following Lincoln man killed in the Great War during February 1917. Specially rung to commemorate the centenary of their deaths, We will remember them.
FRED GRUNDY, Private 2533, Lincolnshire Yeomanry. Died 22nd February 1917, aged 19.
When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today.
Honourable age does not depend on length of days, nor is the number of years a true measure of life.
They are all commemorated on the City War Memorial on the High Street.
