Rung in memory of Private Ernest James Hamblin, Auckland regiment, NZEF, killed in action on 4th October 1917 near Ypres, Belgium. He learnt to ring at St Peter Hersham, Surrey and later rang here at St Matthew. Their name liveth for evermore.
