Rung with the bells half muffled immediately prior to the Civic Service and act of Remembrance to mark the 70th anniversary of VE Day, which was being held at the City War Memorial on the High Street, starting at 2.50pm.
The Service was attended by the Right Worshipful the Mayor of Lincoln, the City Sheriff, members of the Civic Party and the Freemen of the City, along with members of the Royal British Legion, various Forces Organisations, Associations, Veterans & Cadets and the Salvation Army Band.
Rung in memory of all those who made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for out Country during the Second World War.
