To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Sergeant John Thomas Gilbert, 2nd/7th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment, who died of wounds on 1st August 1916 in hospital in Brighton aged 32 and is buried in St Marks churchyard.
