Rung in memory of John Frederic Johnson, aged 19, 2nd Lt, King's Own (Royal Lancaster) Regiment, who was killed in action on 9th April 1916 at Sannaiyat, Mesopotamia (Iraq) during the 13th Division's attempt to relieve the seige of Kut. He is commemorated on the Basra Memorial and the town and parish church memorials in Swanage, Dorset. A great uncle of the tenor ringer.
