Truro Diocesan Guild — Ring for the first time on the new 10 bells at St Winnow

Monday, 28th August 2017

Join us for our annual pilgrimage walk of 5.6 miles from St Mary Bradoc (5), Boconnoc, St Nectan (8) to the new bells at St Winnow (10) being rung for the first time today. These are respectively the lightest 5, 8, and 10 bells in Cornwall. The walk is 5.6 miles long taking us through woods, beautiful parkland, across Civil War Battlefields, and stunning scenery to the tranquil creek-side setting at St Winnow, all on metalled roads and visit four of Cornwall’s most beautiful medieval churches. Each church was founded as part the early Christian foundation of St Winnow. Ringing and bring your own picnic (drinks provided) at 12.00 to 1:00 at Bradoc when the walk starts, 2:30 to 3:30 teas and cakes and ringing at St Nectans and 4:00 to 6:00 at St Winnow. Proceeds in aid of Cornwall Historic Churches Trust and Bradoc and St Winnow Churches.
